Short answer: yes — and here's exactly how it works, what Scout can do today, and what's coming next.
Three methods, in order of reliability
Scout first checks the RIDB (Recreation Information Database) — the federal system that powers ReserveAmerica and Recreation.gov. Real-time site counts, no phone call needed.
For parks not in RIDB, Scout scrapes the park's own booking page or calls their reservation API to pull live availability windows.
When digital data isn't available — small county parks, private campgrounds, walk-in-only sites — Scout places an actual AI-assisted phone call to the park office and logs the response.
Scout uses your Travel Key profile — rig length, pet info, hookup needs — to ask exactly the right questions.

"You shouldn't have to call 12 parks yourself to find out who has a site that fits your rig. That's my job. Fill out your Travel Key, tell me your dates, and I'll do the legwork."
