Scout's Camp Kitchen Tips
Always bring a cast iron skillet — it's the most versatile piece of camp cookware you can own. Season it at home, and it'll last a lifetime. For Dutch oven cooking, remember: 1 briquette = roughly 25°F. A 12-inch Dutch oven at 350°F needs about 25 coals total (17 on top, 8 on bottom). And never forget the foil — it's your best friend for easy cleanup.
